Frog Pond Trail

Went into the Red Buttes Wilderness, that sits on the Oregon California border, to hike to Frog Pond. Using this hiking book, this trail is listed as moderate, which is crap. The trail goes straight up a mountain cutting back and forth, climbing over 5 foot wide trees, under 8 foot wide trees, you have to drive through a ford to get there. We also forgot to read that the trail is best in May to November, so we encountered a nice bit of snow, that was about knee deep. After the Seattle Bar, past Applegate lake, you take a left that is on a gravel road and that leads to a bunch of smaller camp areas along the river. You jam about 4 miles til you reach a clearly marked “1040” road sign and take that left and head another 7 miles. Once you cross the ford its only .2 miles after that and is clearly mark. Test you manhood, or your woman’s manhood.
